
Continuing Medical Education (CME) Grant Program
This program offers grants to sonographers and sonography students attending educational conferences sponsored by sonography professional organizations. Grants are in the form of reimbursements and vary in amount, depending on the attendee registration cost. Grants are paid upon verification of conference attendance.

Criteria
Sonographer grant applicants must:
- Be currently credentialed by ARDMS or CCI,
- Register for the entire conference, and
- Provide a letter from employer (on institutional/company letterhead) indicating that time will be provided for the sonographer to attend the conference and employer does not provide funding for continuing education,
- Complete and return a Grant Application form to IFSER at least 90 business days prior to the start of the requested conference.
- Be a current member of a sonography professional organization.
Student grant applicants must:
- Be currently attending a diagnostic medical sonography or cardiovascular technology program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Canadian Medical Association (CMA),
- If selected to receive a grant, the applicant must register for the entire conference,
- Complete and return a Grant Application form to IFSER at least 90 business days prior to the start of the requested conference.
- Be a current member of a sonography professional organization.
Restrictions
Applicants may receive funding from IFSER once per calendar year. This includes both the grant and scholarship programs.
